HIKING
Hiking On the Mountain
May thru October, Plattekill Mountain allows hiking on the resort premises and is available 8am-6pm.
Plattekill Mountain hiking is not patrolled and is at the hikers own risk. Hiking requires check-in at the mountain’s main office during mid-week business hours and hiking waivers are required to be signed prior to going on the mountain trails.
Onsite Hiking Trail Loop offers a 4-Mile Long Hiking Trail along the perimeter of the mountain. (see highlighted trail map below)
-> Overlook ->Express Lane -> Gateway -> Bumps -> Buckle Up -> Upper Powder Puff ->Lower Powder Puff

All other trails/areas considered “out of bounds”
Additional Hiking Trails in the nearby area include:
- Catskill Scenic Trail (located just north of the village of Roxbury)

We tailor your event to exactly how you’d like it. The best part is, all our events are completely private, so there are no other activities on the mountain, but yours.
Our lodge offers the perfect combination of rustic elegance with a beautiful outdoor setting and Catskill Mountain views as far as the eye can see.
Plus all events have the option to add on chairlift service for guests…or make it a mountaintop party with use of the summit deck.

Conquer the world Endurance Race
ALL ARE WELCOME! Join us for the fourth edition of the epic Plattekill Mountain Race on June 7th, 2026. We will be traversing up, down and around the ski slopes and trails of Plattekill. The course will be 6.5 miles with 3500ft of elevation gain. Whether you are looking to take on an epic mountain challenge or a training race for something even bigger, this race will be sure to test your limits.
We are excited this year to include the edition of a 5k for those that want to come out for just a taste of some vert on this beautiful mountain. The 5k will head up the same way the mountain race starts on the gravel trail with 1000ft of gain in the first 1.25 miles before traversing straight across the mountain with some epic views before you fly down the last 1.25 mile downhill finish.
The Mountain Race is part USATF Adirondack Grand Prix Trail Series. This year we partnered with HydraPak’s Sustainable Racing Program and each runner will receive a reusable speedcup. Race swag is a custum pint glass.
