October 27 The racing season is over. I closed out the year the same way I started, with a win at Plattekill Bike Park. It felt good to go out on a positive note and the win sure has me excited for next season. I want to thank Plattekill for supporting my racing adventures in 2009 and for next year as well. I really don’t know what I’d do without this place. I also want to thank all you guys for the support and friendship. I love this sport and the people in it.
Now with two weekends left for riding at Plattekill, I’ll make sure to be there. Anyone wanting to ride and hang out please stop by. As most of you know we park in the top lot all the way to the right. So stop by and I’ll show you around my favorite trails.
I will keep updating this blog so check it out once in a while. I’ll be playing hockey for my senior year, we’ve been training hard and hitting the ice twice daily for the past couple weeks. |

 OCT 7, 2009 I can't wait for this weekend !!! Come ride with me on Friday, I'll show you some of my favorite trails and drops, my Xprezo team Manager Antoine Larose will be there Demo-ing bikes and will join us. Antoine will also be racing Pro DH and DS, I can't wait to see what he's got. If you guys are looking for a solid ride for 2010, please stop by and try out the Furax DH machine or the GamJam 4x playbike. We'll be at Plattekill all four days this weekend. Saturday morning anyone wanting to join me on a course walk for either course stop by the Xprezo pits in the parking area. I'll be heading up early.  September 16th, 2009 First off the naming of this race was done by Laszlo, so don't pick on me . I was asked to fill in and build/design/layout this course, I was a little tired of riding after the world champs ,but just wanted to get to Platty and hang out. So it worked out well. I wanted to hit this drop/roadgap of about 40' and some of my favorite sections at Plattekill. So I started out at the shale drop and started to where the drop was. I had to cut a lot of course to get there. Sadly the drop won't be used due to the landing which when cut revealed it would take a dump truck of soil to fill in the rocks. You'll see it where the course takes a sharp right hand turn after some steep terrain. I'll be skiing it this winter and hopefully we can get it opened for next season.  September 9, 2009. I finally got to do a race run at the World Champs. It was an amazing event, with a ton of pressure for one run. I miscalculated my plans and took it too easy up top to save it for the long flat pedal at the bottom. Result was 23rd fastest up top and third fastest for the last section. I should have attacked everywhere. I got 15th over all and beat all the Canadians and Americans, but I could have done better. Hopefully I'll be able to compete again next year in the elite division at Mte. Saint Ann. That's a true DH track and I know it well. |
