About Us.

Plattekill Mountain, located in the Northwestern Catskills of New York is home to skiing, snowboarding and snowtubing fun.  Fiercely independent, the Mountain is privately owned and operated by the Vajtay Family, catering to what they know best, families.  As part of shrinking number of privately operated mountains all over the country, Plattekill has built on that reputation of offering a laid back, true, real stacy large croppeddeal authentic vibe that sets the mountain apart from the rest.   Plattekill has a culture.  Come refill your soul and see for yourself just what makes Plattekill, different.

As one writer put it, "There’s something to be said for getting back to basics with a genuine mountain experience that stimulates your soul. And even as resorts continue to merge across the continent, making authenticity a thing of the past, a few stalwarts hold fast to the good old days of reasonable lift tickets, cheap après ski beers and, frankly, epic pow. The following spots are still kicking it old school, and we love them for it"…READ MORE

Until next winter, we've got lots of fun stuff happening on the mountain SPRING - SUMMER - FALL hope to see you HERE!

Yours in Snow,  The Plattekill Family
