We might be located in a rural area, but don’t be fooled! Roxbury and the surrounding area is full of fun things to keep you busy during your time here!
Have a Picnic at Kirkside Park
Located just minutes from Plattekill, Kirkside features Adirondack-style bridges, gravel paths, and the East Branch of the Delaware River meandering through its meadows, making it the perfect spot for outdoor fun. If you get hungry during your visit, head to Chappie’s just down the street from the park! And, perhaps most importantly, don’t forget to swing by Roxbury Wine & Spirits for a nice bottle of your favorite red or white!
Go Hiking, Biking, Adventure-ing on the Catskill Scenic Trail
The Catskill Scenic Trail is part of the Rails to Trails project and occupies the space that once was the Ulster & Delaware Railroad. At 26-miles long, this trail features a hard-packed surface that makes it perfect for hiking, biking, running, horseback riding, and cross-country skiing. In other words, if you like to be outdoors, you can’t go wrong on the Catskill Scenic Trail. Click here for a trail map.
